The second day of this conference features a workshop on teaching about climate change and the determinants of health in medical education. The session has been organised by representatives of the PHEMS Climate Change and Determinants of Health Evaluation Group, who are piloting teaching in eight medical schools this academic year.
Each medical school is taking an individual approach, covering some or all of:
- The impacts of climate change on health inequalities and the wider determinants of health
- The relationship between adaptation and mitigation and the health co-benefits of each
- Advocacy participation of the health sector in addressing climate change mitigation and adaptation
