The fifth in the series of conferences on cycling is to be held at the University of Bolton on Tuesday 30th March 2010. Abstracts for the 'Market Place' are due by midnight on 7th February 2010.
The aim of the conference is to discuss and critique examples of best practice in promoting health through cycling. Subjects include partnership working, National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence guidance, delivery of community based schemes and advice on how to make the argument for cycling. Specialist speakers include Phillip Darnton, Chair of Cycling England, Dr Hugo Crombie of the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, Helen Ross of the Government Office for the East Midlands and Ian Tierney from Cycling Projects.
For the first time this year, there will be a 'Market Place' where selected delegates can present an A1 portrait poster and/or table top display about their work. Selection will be based on a 300 word abstract describing the work, its value and relevance. Closing date for abstracts is midnight on Sunday 7th February 2010.
