This conference brings together participants in the Higher Education Academy’s ‘Green Academy: Curricula for Tomorrow’ change programme together with colleagues from Nottingham engaged in aspects of education for sustainability.  The focus of the day is on curriculum and the ways in which sustainability can be embedded into teaching, learning and the overall student experience. Includes a session on Learning for Sustainability in the Health Professions from Dr Linda East (Lecturer in Nursing, The University of Nottingham).

Good news - the SHE workshop proposal we submitted to the ASME has been accepted as a 90 minute 'Intra conference workshop' on Thursday 19th July at the Brighton Annual Scientific Meeting.

This international panel debate will take place at NET2012 (the annual conference for networking in healthcare education).

The panel will explore the ways in which health professional educators can respond to the need to prepare students for the clinical consequences of an increasingly unstable climate and to change clinical practice to support a more sustainable health care system. Issues examined will include changes in global health education, financial cuts together with dwindling resources and health challenges such as obesity.
