Kidney Centre Sustainability Champion information pack
The UK Kidney Centre Sustainability Champion role is essential in driving high-quality, low-carbon, and cost-efficient kidney care. With kidney care’s significant environmental impact—such as energy-intensive treatments, water use, and waste generation—sustainable practice is critical to ensuring environmental responsibility, whilst also improving patient care. By becoming a Sustainability Champion, healthcare professionals can lead quality improvement initiatives and gain opportunities for skill development, networking, and collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary teams to co-create sustainable solutions.
The Kidney Centre Sustainability Champions scheme is run by the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare working with the UK Kidney Association.
