Dr Stuart d’Arch Smith is a specialist registrar in psychiatry with South London and Maudsley NHS trust and is on sabbatical with the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare (CSH) to conduct an education fellowship.
The main aim of the fellowship project is to integrate principles of sustainable health and healthcare into education about Quality Improvement for medical students and healthcare staff. Our key partner is GSKT school of medicine at King’s College London, but we are also working with Bristol University and developing relationships with Health Education England and a number of NHS trusts.
Dr d’Arch Smith studied medicine at the University of Birmingham, graduating in 2008. He has since worked for the National Health Service in Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol and, from 2015 to 2016, lived in South West Uganda helping to improve the quality of mental health provision for a local hospital.
