Today, we are launching the CSH Membership & Partner Programme, a new way for organisations to formally partner with the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare, access our networks and resources, and play an active role in transforming healthcare for people and the planet.
The transition to sustainable healthcare cannot be achieved by any one organisation alone. By bringing together a diverse community of partners who share our vision, we can strengthen collaboration, accelerate innovation and create lasting improvements for patients, staff and the environment.

“The launch of our membership scheme marks an exciting new chapter for the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare. We know that the transition to sustainable healthcare cannot be achieved by any one organisation alone. By bringing together a diverse community of partners who share our vision, we can strengthen collaboration, accelerate innovation and create lasting improvements for patients, staff and the environment. We are delighted to welcome our founding members and look forward to working together to build a healthier, more sustainable future.”
Lucy Brown, Development Director, Centre for Sustainable Healthcare
About the Membership & Partner Programme
The CSH Membership & Partner Programme is a new way for organisations to formally partner with CSH and play an active role in transforming healthcare for people and the planet. It has been developed to create meaningful, values-led partnerships that support the transition to high-quality, low-carbon and equitable healthcare, at a moment when that transition has never been more urgent.
Designed in collaboration with our founding members, the programme offers three tiers of organisational partnership — Bronze, Silver and Gold — alongside an exclusive Platinum partnership awarded to one organisation per year. Each tier combines practical benefits with opportunities for strategic engagement: access to CSH’s clinical networks, case studies and SusQI resources, places on training and education courses, trees planted through the NHS Forest, carbon footprint consultancy, and — for Silver, Gold and Platinum partners — social media coverage and personalised CSH content.
From training and sustainable quality improvement programmes to NHS Forest activities, carbon footprint support and bespoke partnerships, the programme has been created to help organisations turn their sustainability ambitions into action while directly supporting the work CSH does to scale its programmes and reach more of the healthcare system.
Our founding members
We would like to begin by thanking the organisations that have joined us as founding members.
Their early support and willingness to help shape the programme have been invaluable. By becoming our first members, they have helped us build a stronger foundation for collaboration and shared action towards high-quality, low-carbon and equitable healthcare.
Exclusive Platinum Partner 2026
Siemens Healthineers is our first-ever Platinum Partner — the highest and most exclusive tier of the programme, awarded to one organisation each year. Through this partnership, Siemens Healthineers is supporting CSH Net Zero Leadership training for senior NHS leaders, collaboration on Green Specialty Challenges to mobilise frontline teams at scale, and the planting of 2,000 trees through the NHS Forest.

“I’m genuinely excited to be partnering with the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare. This is something I feel really passionate about, because we know that improving patient care and protecting the environment have to go hand in hand. Through this partnership, we have a fantastic opportunity to work alongside clinicians, scientists and healthcare leaders to turn sustainability from ambition into real, everyday action. I’m incredibly proud of what we can achieve together to support healthier communities and a more sustainable future for the NHS”
Becky Moore, Social Value & Sustainability Manager – Northwest Europe, Siemens Healthineers
Gold Member Spotlight
Micro-Tech UK has been one of our most active partners over the past two years, fully funding the Green Nursing Challenge 2025. Delivered in partnership with the Queen’s Institute of Community Nursing and the Foundation of Nursing Studies, the programme supported six nursing teams through a 15-week SusQI programme, resulting in projected annual savings of £691,844 and annual emissions reductions of 77,398 kgCO₂e.
Micro-Tech UK is now funding the Green Gastroenterology Challenge 2026, supporting multidisciplinary teams across the UK to embed sustainable quality improvement into everyday practice. As part of their new membership, we are excited to build on our successful partnership and develop a third Green Specialty Challenge together in the year ahead.

“Micro-Tech UK is proud to support the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare through its new membership scheme. We know that meaningful change comes from the people working directly within healthcare organisations, and by becoming a member we are investing in a community that shares knowledge, drives innovation and delivers practical solutions that can be replicated across the NHS. Together, we can help accelerate the transition to more sustainable healthcare for the benefit of patients, staff and future generations.”
Gareth Bullen, Managing Director, Micro-Tech UK
