Duncan Mackay has recently retired as Head of urban and peri-urban environments at Natural England. He also formerly led the agency’s Natural Health Service and Walking for Health programmes. Since 2018 he has been an elected member of the Council of the National Trust and is a Fellow of the Landscape Institute and the Salzburg Global Seminar.
