Call for Public Members: Join the Sustainability in Quality Improvement Reference Group

Thursday, 16 March, 2023

Are you interested in environmental sustainability and helping improve health care? Have you got experience of working with senior leaders and/or at a strategic level? Can you confidently join in group discussions? Can you listen to and respect different views?

The Centre for Sustainable Healthcare (CSH) is looking for two public members to join the Sustainability in Quality Improvement (SusQI) Reference Group.

CSH is an independent charity that leads in helping healthcare professionals, patients, and the wider community to understand the different aspects of health, and how these can connect to reduce environmental impact and costs. We have developed a “SusQI Framework” for managing sustainability in existing quality improvement methodology. This framework can improve outcomes for patients and at the same time address environmental, cost, and social impact.

We work with health and social care organisations as well as healthcare training establishments. We support these to bring sustainability into their improvement training and development. Our products including the Green Ward Competition and SusQI Academy help us to do this.

The public members will sit on the SusQI Reference Group, ensuring that plans to improve our services are focussed on what matters most to public, patient, carer and families and their perspectives are included.
