Wednesday, 10 February, 2021

Calling all surgical healthcare professionals! Would you like to get involved in transforming surgical practice to become less harmful to the environment and more socially sustainable?

The Green Surgery Challenge 2021 is an opportunity for the UK’s surgical community to:

  • recognise the value of sustainable healthcare for surgical conditions
  • share and promote ways of practising that are less harmful to the environment and our planet and build social sustainability
  • transform surgery for the future.

The challenge launched on 3rd February 2021 at an online event, hosted by the Royal College of Surgeons England. Teams can apply to enter the Green Surgery Challenge by submitting a project idea to make their surgical pathway "greener" and more sustainable.
