Angela has received a two-year sponsorship, from Micro-tech-UK, to work for the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare, as a Nurse Fellow & Project Lead. Angela worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Specialist Palliative Care at The Christie Foundation Trust in Manchester. She has a nursing background in Intensive Care, Management and Teaching.
A Climate Change activist, she is passionate about engaging Health Care professionals in working sustainably and promoting the 'Climate Crisis' message in relation to public health. Angela led the Green Team Competition at The Christie hospital, she has presented widely on Sustainable Healthcare, is a Carbon Literacy trainer, and led ‘Clinical’ Sustainability in the hospital. She has published articles on the Climate Emergency, and received awards for her work - the Best Social Responsibility Programme at the Nursing Times Workforce awards in 2022, and the Sustainability Nurse of the Year, 2024, at the British Journal of Nursing awards.
