Andy Cassels-Brown is a UK NHS Consultant Ophthalmologist with a special interest in public health and research publications, including climate change mitigation and adaptation. He has wide experience in low, middle and high income healthcare settings, including Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. 

He worked with CSH in the development of the Standard Chartered Bank supported global cataract benchmarking webapp Eyefficiency, which helps improve efficiency, productivity, cost, carbon footprint, and waste reduction. He helped set up the RCOphth Sustainability Working Group and International Agency for Prevention of Blindness 'Climate Action Working Group, for which CSH produced the IAPB Sustainable Eye Care Guide.

As Medical Director for the Fred Hollows Foundation NGO, he incorporated environmental sustainability into their global Clinical Quality Improvement (CQI) strategies. He has recently re-joined CSH as an Associate and has started a new consultancy platform, 'CQEye International', for which the CQ stands for "climate Quality".
